In an analogue cellular system, find the number of channels when total...
Number of channels in a FDMA system be calculated as N = Bt-Bguard/Bc
where
N is number of channels
Bt is total spectrum allocation
Bguard is guard band
Bc is channel bandwidth
Calculating channels: N = Bt-Bguard/Bc
N= 12.5 x 106 2(103) / 30 x 103
= 416 channels

Given:
Total spectrum allocation (Bt) = 12.5 MHz
Guard band (Bguard) = 10 kHz
Channel bandwidth (Bc) = 30 kHz

To find: Number of channels

Formula:
Number of channels = (Bt - 2 * Bguard) / Bc

Calculation:
Substituting the given values in the formula, we get
Number of channels = (12.5 * 10^6 - 2 * 10^4) / 30 * 10^3
Number of channels = (12.5 * 10^6 - 20,000) / 30,000
Number of channels = 416

Therefore, the number of channels in the given analogue cellular system is 416. Hence, option C is the correct answer.
