Two point charges A and B, having charges +Q and −Q respectively, are...
Given: Two point charges A and B, having charges Q and −Q respectively, are placed at certain distance apart and force acting between them is F.

To find: If 25% charge of A is transferred to B, then force between the charges becomes

Solution:

Let the distance between the charges be denoted by d.

The force between two charges is given by Coulomb's law as:

F = (1/4πε) * Q1 * Q2 / d^2

where ε is the permittivity of free space.

Initially, the force between the charges is F.

Let's assume that 25% charge of A is transferred to B. Therefore, the new charges of A and B become:

Charge on A = Q - (25/100)Q = (3/4)Q

Charge on B = -Q + (25/100)Q = (-3/4)Q

Using Coulomb's law, the new force between the charges can be calculated as:

F' = (1/4πε) * [(3/4)Q] * [(-3/4)Q] / d^2

F' = (9/16) * (1/4πε) * Q^2 / d^2

F' = (9/16)F

Therefore, the force between the charges becomes 9/16 times the original force after the transfer of charge.

Hence, the correct option is (C) 9F/16.
