Calculation of Resistance
The resistance of a wire is directly proportional to its length. Therefore, if the length of a wire is increased by stretching it, its resistance will also increase.

Given, the resistance of the wire = 16 ohm.

Calculation of New Length of Each Part
The wire is cut into 4 equal parts and each part is uniformly stretched to the original length 'l'. Therefore, the length of each part after stretching will be:

Length of each part = l/4 + l

= 5l/4

Calculation of New Resistance
Now, all the parts are connected in parallel. The equivalent resistance of resistors connected in parallel is given by the formula:

1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + ...

Where,

R = equivalent resistance

R1, R2, R3, ... are the resistances of individual resistors.

In this case, there are 4 parts of wire, each with a resistance of 16 ohm. Therefore, the equivalent resistance of the 4 parts connected in parallel is:

1/R = 1/16 + 1/16 + 1/16 + 1/16

= 4/16

= 1/4

Therefore, the new resistance of the wire after stretching and connecting in parallel is:

R = 4 ohm.

Explanation
When a wire is stretched, its length increases and so does its resistance. This is because the resistance of a wire is directly proportional to its length. When the wire is cut into 4 equal parts and each part is stretched to the original length, the resistance of each part increases by the same factor.

When the 4 parts are connected in parallel, the equivalent resistance of the combination is less than the resistance of each individual part. This is because the current has multiple paths to flow through, which reduces the overall resistance. The new resistance is calculated using the formula for resistors connected in parallel.

16 ohm when the wire is cut into 4 equal parts length of each part becomes l/4then it is stretch to its original length then we have to increase its length by 4 times.. which result into decrease of area by 4 timesoverall resistance is increases by 4 times4*16 = 64then each 4 resistance are connected in parallelresultant resistance 16 ohm.
