Explanation:

P-N Junction is formed when a P-type semiconductor and an N-type semiconductor are joined together. In an unbiased P-N Junction, there is no external voltage applied to the Junction. Therefore, the potential difference across the Junction is zero.

When there is zero current flowing through the Junction, it implies that the total current crossing the Junction from P-side to N-side is equal to the total current crossing the Junction from N-side to P-side. This is known as the law of conservation of charge.

The reason behind this is that in a P-N Junction, there are diffusion and drift currents. Diffusion current is caused by the diffusion of charge carriers from high concentration to low concentration, while drift current is caused by the electric field present in the Junction.

In an unbiased Junction, the diffusion current is equal and opposite in direction to the drift current. Therefore, the net current flowing through the Junction is zero.

Hence, option 'C' is the correct answer.

See in a pn junction no current implies that formation depletion layer so initially flow of holes from p to n and electrons from n to p after that as holes are in n teritory and form bond and same as vice versa but not go outside diode.
