s2x, 3x + 200, 5x – 200
2x/(3x + 200) = 3/5, we will get x = 600, so total amount = 10*600 = 6000

Given Information:

Amount is to be divided between A, B and C in the ratio 2:3:5 respectively.

If C gives 200 of his share to B the ratio among A, B and C becomes 3:5:4.

To Find: Total Sum

Explanation:

Let the total sum be x.

According to the question, the amount is divided in the ratio 2:3:5, so

A's share = (2/10)x = (1/5)x

B's share = (3/10)x

C's share = (5/10)x = (1/2)x

Now, C gives 200 of his share to B.

So, B's share becomes = (3/10)x + 200

And, C's share becomes = (1/2)x - 200

Now, the ratio among A, B and C becomes 3:5:4.

So, we can write the equation as:

A : B : C = 3 : 5 : 4

(1/5)x : (3/10)x + 200 : (1/2)x - 200 = 3 : 5 : 4

On solving the above equation, we get x = 6000

Therefore, the total sum is 6000.

Hence, the correct option is (b) 6000.
