Start of Cleavage in Fertilized Egg of Humans
Cleavage in the fertilized egg of humans starts in the fallopian tube. This process begins shortly after fertilization when the sperm successfully penetrates the egg, forming a zygote. The zygote then undergoes a series of rapid cell divisions, known as cleavage, as it travels down the fallopian tube towards the uterus.

Meroblastic Cleavage
Meroblastic cleavage is a type of cleavage where only a portion of the egg is divided during cell division. This type of cleavage is typically seen in eggs with a large amount of yolk, such as bird eggs. In humans, however, cleavage is holoblastic, meaning the entire egg is divided into smaller cells during cell division.

Relation to Uterus
While cleavage starts in the fallopian tube, it is important to note that the fertilized egg does not implant in the uterus until after several rounds of cell division have occurred. Once the zygote has undergone multiple cleavage divisions and developed into a blastocyst, it implants into the uterine lining for further development.

Comparison to Normal Mitosis
Cleavage in the fertilized egg of humans is not identical to normal mitosis. In mitosis, a single cell divides into two identical daughter cells, each with the same genetic material as the parent cell. In contrast, cleavage involves rapid cell divisions that result in the formation of a multicellular embryo with specialized cells for various functions. This process is essential for the early development of the human embryo.
