REET Level 2 Exam SyllabusThe REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) Level 2 exam is conducted for the recruitment of teachers in the state of Rajasthan. The exam is divided into two papers - Paper 1 for classes 1 to 5 teachers (Level 1) and Paper 2 for classes 6 to 8 teachers (Level 2). Child Development and Pedagogy- Child Development: Concept of development and its relationship with learning, Principles of Child Development, Influence of Heredity & Environment, Socialization processes, Piaget, Kohlberg, and Vygotsky: constructs and critical perspectives.
- Learning and Pedagogy: Cognition and Emotions, Motivation and learning, Factors contributing to learning - personal and environmental, Child as a problem solver and a scientific investigator, Alternative conceptions of learning in children, Understanding children's 'errors' as significant steps in the learning process.
- Pedagogical Concerns: Concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs, Addressing the needs of children with learning difficulties, Addressing the Talented, Creative, Specially-abled Learners, Approaches to teaching and learning, Teaching as a two-way process, Assessment and Evaluation.

Language I (English, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, and Gujarati)- Language Comprehension: Reading unseen passages - two passages, one prose or drama and one poem, with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar, and verbal ability.
- Pedagogy of Language Development: Learning and acquisition, Principles of language Teaching, Role of listening and speaking, function of language and how children use it as a tool, Critical perspective on the role of grammar in learning a language for communicating ideas verbally and in written form, Challenges of teaching language in a diverse classroom, Language difficulties, errors, and disorders.
Marks Weightage: 30 marks
Language II (English, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, and Gujarati)- Comprehension: Two unseen prose passages, one drama, and one poem, with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar, and verbal ability.

Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science Teachers)- Mathematics: Number System, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Data Handling, and Pedagogical issues.
- Science: Food & Materials, Moving Things, People and Ideas, The World of the Living, How Things Work, Natural Phenomena and Resources, and Pedagogical issues.

Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science Teachers)- History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and Pedagogical issues.
