(P + Q + R + D)’s 1 days work = 1/8
D’s 1 day’s work = 1/8 – 1/10 = 2/80 = 1/40
⇒ P’s 1 day’s work = 1/20
⇒ Q’s 1 day’s work = 1/30
⇒ R’s 1 day’s work = 1/60
(P + Q + R)’s 1 days work = 1/20 + 1/30 + 1/60 = (6/60) = 1/10
(P + Q + R + D)’s 1 days work = 1/8
D’s 1 day’s work = 1/8 – 1/10 = 2/80 = 1/40
Ratio of work efficiency = P : Q : R : D = 1/20 : 1/30 : 1/60 : 1/40 = 6 : 4 : 2 : 3
