Or released) by the system and W denote the work done on (or by) the system. According to the First Law of Thermodynamics, the change in internal energy (ΔU) of the system is equal to the heat absorbed by the system minus the work done on the system:

ΔU = Q - W

Assuming the process is reversible, we can use the ideal gas law to relate the temperature and pressure of the system:

pV = nRT

where V is the volume of the system, n is the number of moles of the fluid, and R is the ideal gas constant.

Using this equation, we can calculate the work done on the system as:

W = ∫p dV

where the integral is taken over the initial and final volumes of the system.

To calculate the heat absorbed by the system, we can use the equation:

Q = ΔU + W

where ΔU is the change in internal energy of the system, calculated using the specific heat capacity of the fluid (C):

ΔU = C ΔT

where ΔT is the change in temperature of the system.

Overall, to calculate the heat absorbed (or released) and the work done on (or by) the system, we need to know the initial and final temperatures and pressures, the specific heat capacity of the fluid, and the initial and final volumes of the system.

Since we know that If we apply Energy balance on a closed system, we get the FLOT derivation proved from it.  And in closed system we know the changes in KE and PE are zero.

So, by normal convention of FLOT ( where heat absorbed by system is (+) and work done on the system is taken as (+), we can write

E1 +Q  +W =E2

But it is given, W done by the system to take +, so obviously we have to take W done on the system as (-)

E1 +Q -W =E2
So, Change in E (Internal Energy) = Q-W
Hence, we can note that since Delta E is state function (path independent, so Q-W is also path independent.

Option C is correct.
