If a real image is formed then definitely it must be an inverted image. So, m= -2 and not +2 since according to the sign convention quantities below principle axis are taken withe -ve sign.

For lens, m = v/u => v = mu
=> v = (-2)(-15) = 30 cm on the other side of lens and inverted
