Total pressure of the saturated air = 1.2 atm
To find: Partial pressure of dry air

Solution:
1. We know that the sum of mole fractions of all the components in a mixture is equal to 1.
2. Therefore, the mole fraction of dry air (which is the other component in the mixture) can be calculated as:
Mole fraction of dry air = 1 - Mole fraction of water vapour
Mole fraction of dry air = 1 - 0.02 = 0.98
