Current gain is maximum in the following configuration of a transisto...
Common Emitter Configuration has maximum current gain

Explanation:
Transistors are three terminal devices and they are commonly used as amplifiers. The three terminal of a transistor are Emitter (E), Base (B) and Collector (C).

There are three different ways in which a transistor can be connected in a circuit, which are as follows:

1. Common Emitter (CE) Configuration
2. Common Base (CB) Configuration
3. Common Collector (CC) Configuration

Out of these three configurations, the Common Emitter (CE) Configuration has maximum current gain. This is because of the following reasons:

1. Input Impedance: The input impedance of the CE configuration is moderate, which means that it is neither too high nor too low. This makes it suitable for most applications.

2. Output Impedance: The output impedance of the CE configuration is high, which means that it can drive a large load resistance without any difficulty.

3. Voltage Gain: The voltage gain of the CE configuration is high, which means that it can amplify small signals to a large extent.

4. Current Gain: The current gain of the CE configuration is maximum, which means that it can deliver a large output current even for a small input current.

So, due to these reasons, the Common Emitter (CE) Configuration has maximum current gain.
