Mahatma Gandhi called off non cooperation movement
because:
The meaning of non cooperation was different for every one ,Some of them started acting violently.
(1) The farmers of Bihar looted the bazaar and attacked the landowners declared that Mahatma Gandhi had order redistribute it to the farmers.
(2) In towns foreign goods were boycotted, liquor shops picketed and started wearing khadi but khadi had very high cost.They too started violating by burning foreign goods in huge bonfires.
(3) plantation workers started migrating from one place to another because under emigration act they were not allowed to move from one place to another. They left plantation farms and got caught and were brutally beaten.
(4) In Gudem hill of Andhra militant guerilla war spread. Sitaram Alluri Raju declared that he had some special powers, bullets even can't harm him.He followed all the thoughts of Gandhi except non violence. He told that we have to apply physical force instead of satyagraha.
(5)When Chura Chauri incident took place Mahatma Gandhi called off the movement because it was taking the violent role.
