Focal length (f) = 15 cm
Distance of object from the convex mirror (u) = 10 cm
Image distance (v) = ?


1/v - 1/u = 1/f

1/v - 1/10 = 1/15

1/v = 1/5 + 1/10

1/v = 2 + 3 / 30

1/v = 5/30

1/v = 1/6

v = 6 cm
Image distance = 6 cm

Image distance is in positive, thus the image is formed behind the mirror, thus it's VIRTUAL and ERECT.

We have:-
F=15 cm, u=10 cm, v=?

we have to find v(image distance) first:-
As we know lens formula:-
1/f= 1/v-1/u

putting values in given formula:-

1/15=1/v-1/10
1/v=1/15+1/10
1/v=2+3/30
1/v=5/30
1/v=1/6

v=6cm

since image distance is in +ve sign which means the image is formed behind the mirrors and it is virtual and erect.
