    Solution:

    Given data:
    Initial weight of wheat (W1) = 80 kg
    Initial moisture content (X1) = 10% wet basis
    Final moisture content (X2) = 8% wet basis
    Drying time (t) = 3 hours

    Calculation:
    1. Calculation of dry weight:
    Dry weight (Wd) = W1 - (X1/100)*W1
    Dry weight (Wd) = 80 - (10/100)*80 = 72 kg

    2. Calculation of final weight of wheat:
    Final moisture content (X2) = (m2/m1 + m2)*100
    Where,
    m1 = initial weight of wheat
    m2 = weight of moisture

    On rearranging the above equation, we get
    m2 = (X2*m1)/(100-X2)
    m2 = (8*80)/(100-8)
    m2 = 6.96 kg

    Final weight of wheat = Wd + m2
    Final weight of wheat = 72 + 6.96 = 78.96 kg

    3. Calculation of moisture removed:
    Moisture removed = m1 - m2
    Moisture removed = 10 - 6.96 = 3.04 kg

    4. Calculation of drying rate:
    Drying rate (R) = Moisture removed/time
    Drying rate (R) = 3.04/3 = 1.013 kg/h

    Rounding off the value to one decimal place, we get
    Drying rate (R) = 1.0 kg/h

    Therefore, the correct answer is 1.3-1.4 kg/h.
