    If a reversed Carnot cycle operates between the temperature limits of ...
    °C and 327°C, determine the thermal efficiency of the cycle.

    The Carnot cycle is the most efficient cycle that can be achieved when operating between two temperature limits. The reversed Carnot cycle is the same as the Carnot cycle but with the direction of the heat and work interactions reversed. The thermal efficiency of the Carnot cycle is given by:

    η = 1 - T_low/T_high

    where T_low is the temperature of the cold reservoir and T_high is the temperature of the hot reservoir.

    In this case, the reversed Carnot cycle operates between T_low = 27°C and T_high = 327°C. Therefore, the thermal efficiency of the cycle is:

    η = 1 - T_low/T_high
    = 1 - (27 + 273)/(327 + 273)
    = 1 - 300/600
    = 0.5 or 50%

    Therefore, the thermal efficiency of the reversed Carnot cycle operating between 27°C and 327°C is 50%.
