Enzyme peptidyl transferase is a component of a larger subunit of ribosome. It catalyses two principal chemical reactions - peptide bond formation and peptide release. Enzyme pyrophosphatase hydrolyses pyrophosphate and provides energy for driving the initial reaction of activating amino acids.

Translation Machinery in Protein Synthesis

Translation is the process of converting the genetic information encoded in the mRNA into a functional protein. The translation machinery consists of various components that work together to synthesize a protein. The components are:

1. mRNA (messenger RNA): It carries the genetic information from DNA to the ribosome.

2. Ribosomes: These are the protein factories where protein synthesis takes place.

3. Amino acids: These are the building blocks of proteins that are linked together to form a polypeptide chain.

4. tRNAs (transfer RNAs): These are adapter molecules that carry amino acids to the ribosome during protein synthesis.

5. Peptidyl transferase: It is the enzyme responsible for catalyzing the formation of peptide bonds between adjacent amino acids.

6. Aminoacyl tRNA synthetase: These are enzymes that attach amino acids to their corresponding tRNAs.

The correct answer is (A) because all the above components are involved in the process of translation except Pyrophosphatase.

Pyrophosphatase is not directly involved in protein synthesis. It is an enzyme that hydrolyzes pyrophosphate into two phosphate ions.
